Accordion-style recycled magazine clock

I love reusing junk from around my house to make interesting clocks. I’ve been making a lot lately with catalogs and magazines that we get in the mail – most un-asked-for. My latest clock I made by folding IKEA catalog pages accordion-style, then gluing them to a wooden disk. I spray painted the whole thing with a few layers of white paint to unify it. I was contemplating painting it all-white, to create dimension just from the accordion pleats, but eventually I decided I liked it as-is. This one is for sale in my etsy shop.Accordion-style recycled magazine clock

    Glad you like it!

No tutorial yet – at some point I may write one up. It’s pretty straightforward – accordion-fold 12 sheets of magazine (or paper), then pinch one end of each and glue to a wooden disc (or cardboard circle). Just make sure to leave a hole for the clock shaft!

  11. Hey there, I found your site lacasadecrafts.com while browsing http://www.

Just wondering, have you ever looked at adding additional content
to your blog posts? It’s true, what you say is valuable and all. However, I think that if you built in some other forms of media (such as videos, visuals, pictures) you could make your page more substantive and attractive. Your article is top notch, on the other hand if you were to include more diverse media, your page could without a doubt be top-of-the-line in its topic compared to other sites on .
